I’m so glad you stopped by today because I have a treat for you. I’ve been working on a fun holiday gift package that you can get for 50% off, and these miniature bunting banners are two of the digital files you will receive. There are several different buntings included, so let’s jump right in!
A bunting banner made with printables is really easy to assemble. You print the page and then cut each shape out. Cut out a piece of ribbon or kitchen twine that is long enough for your bunting.
Fold the bunting pieces over the twine so the edges meet and use a glue stick to seal them. You could also use your sewing machine to stitch each piece onto the twine or ribbon. (I usually fold the paper over the twine and stitch right below the fold, enclosing the twine with the paper.)
Another great bunting banner is this circular option:
Cut out the circles and place two design side up on top of each other. Use a sewing machine to stitch down the center of these, making sure you leave a tail of thread on each end to hang the bunting. Once the circles are stitched, fold them inward for a three-dimensional look. I have strands of these all over the place right now—they’re so pretty!
Note that these are miniature bunting banners, not a large room-sized banner. These look great as a cake topper, as a decoration hung behind a cake, and as a decoration in the sweet little decorated nooks you have in your home. My daughter’s craft desk is small enough that a bunting of this size looks super sweet draped on the wall behind the desk.
Plain bunting also looks great as gift wrap decoration:
You can make all of these projects when you purchase my printable Gift Wrap and Cards bundle. Click here to see everything that is included + get 50% off at checkout.
Enjoy and have a lovely {and creative} day!

This is SUCH a fun idea, Jennie! It gets my mind going on things I could do in my art journal! Yippee, I started an art journal! I saw one of your old posts on how to start one yesterday, and tried to comment, but it wouldn’t let m, as I expected. Oh and I have my very own computer now! So that’s how I can comment now! So exciting! You’ll be getting many more comments from me now!
Maggie! I’m so glad you’re back! I’ve missed you and your comments. 🙂 🙂 And that’s awesome that you started an art journal. I had some time to work on mine last weekend, and it’s so much fun. (Mine’s in an old book so it’s fun to collage/paint/etc. over the words and let some of them peep out.) Anyway, hope you have a great day! 🙂
