The Best St. Patrick’s Day Treats and Crafts

St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner, so I thought I’d do a little post to inspire you. I knew I needed some craft projects inspiration, but what are crafts without a treat to go alongside, right?  These treats and crafts (and free printable!) are from some of my favorite bloggers, and I’m excited to be able to share them with you.

First off, doesn’t this Shamrock Shake look delicious? This picture brings back memories of sitting in the McDonald’s drive-thru waiting for this once-a-year treat. The recipe is like the original shamrock shake from McDonald’s, but I think Cathy from Three Kids and a Fish’s version is so much cuter–must be those sprinkles. 🙂 Who knew that this shake was so easy to whip up?

Now that you have a treat inside you, you can get to crafting! This Lucky Shamrocks St. Patrick’s Day Wreath by Bev at Flamingo Toes looks complicated, but her step-by-step instructions got me thinking…this would be so fun to make for a crafternoon. You know, when you invite your crafty friends over and work on a project together? I need to do more of those; they are always so much fun. I love the mini rainbow bunting on this wreath and really want to try making the felt shamrocks. Too cute!

Making the Shamrock Wreath probably burned off all of the calories you drank with the Shamrock Shake, so you could get away with eating a piece of fudge, right? I mean, seriously, this Andes Mint Fudge by Coupons and Freebies Mom looks so amazingly delicious. I think this recipe would make a really nice gift too if you wanted to give some away. This is the kind of recipe I used to like to bring in to the office when I worked outside of the home. People LOVE chocolate and mint.

And speaking of gifts, isn’t this the most adorable candle you’ve ever seen? Lindsay from My Creative Days made these Homemade Teacup Candles with her daughter and her friends and they turned out so sweet. I didn’t realize making soy candles was so easy. I’ve definitely bookmarked this idea for future gift-making.

I couldn’t resist sharing this darling Shamrock Hoop Art by Mandy at Sugar Bee Crafts. I agree with her that crafts that are tiny are the cutest. I love how she took a scrap of fabric and made it pop with a little bit of embroidery. This would be a fun project to do with my nieces. They would be so proud to make a ‘grown-up’ craft. 🙂
